The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ Makes History as the First Song to Surpass 4 Billion Streams on Spotify, Engineered by MWI Graduate

Shin Kamiyama (Audio Production & Engineering 2009) served as an engineer on The Weeknd's 'After Hours' album which produced the history making hit single 'Blinding Lights'. 

Shin Kamiyama's journey from Metalworks Institute to the mainstream music scene is a testament to his commitment to profecting his craft.  His proficiency in recording engineering has left a mark on the critically acclaimed 'After Hours' album, where The Weeknd explores new sonic landscapes.

With multiple recording engineering credits on the album, Shin played a pivotal role in crafting the polished and immersive sound that defines 'After Hours.'  His technical skill and creative intuition seamlessly merged, contributing to the overall success of the project.

'Blinding Lights' continues to climb in numbers and is available on all streaming platforms.
