Metalworks Institute graduate Santiago Echeverri Buitrago (Professional Sound & Business [Studio Production Major] 2022, Music Mixing & Mastering 2023) has been busy building an impressive résumé in the studio, contributing to sessions with some of today’s top artists.
Recently, Santiago worked as Assistant Recording Engineer on the latest Our Lady Peace project, “Whatever (Redux)”, a re-release of “Whatever”, where he handled microphone setup, gear patching, and session prep, helping ensure a smooth workflow.
Expanding his credits even further, Santiago took on the role of Recording Engineer for recent sessions with Beam, who is known for his genre-blending sound and collaborations with major acts such as Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, French Montana, and more.
Santiago is also working with Harkirat Sangha, a prominent Punjabi artist with over 1.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, on sessions recorded through Metalworks Studios. His growing list of engineering and assistant credits showcases a strong foundation in technical excellence, professionalism, and adaptability across diverse musical genres.
