Metalworks Institute to Sponsor Interprovincial Music Camp
Metalworks Institute announces its partnership with Interprovincial Music Camp. The Interprovincial Music Camp has been established for many years. Its programs are developed for teens who are passionate about music and entertainment and who wish to spend a summer week learning and experiencing activities with other passionate musicians.
Campers gather annually at Camp Manitou, situated on the majestic Manitouwabing lake and river near Parry Sound, Ontario. Since the camp’s establishment in 1961, its directors have developed a wide range of programs. These include Jazz Camp, Musical Theatre, Band/Orchestra, Camp Rock, Glee, Scratch Lab and Songwriting.
The newest program, called Event Production, is sponsored by Metalworks Institute. It will give young people who are passionate about the entertainment industry, but who prefer working behind the scenes, the opportunity to learn the technical aspects of producing a live concert.
Metalworks Production Group has been producing the camp’s final concert for several years. The final concert features performances by camp instructors who are all renowned professional musicians. Metalworks Institute will send professional show producers and show production graduates to teach campers how to setup a lighting show, record a live performance, set up a backline and produce excellent live audio.
Metalworks Institute is thrilled to take part in the development of talent in Canada’s youth.
“Passing on knowledge of the entertainment industry to young, passionate people is personally rewarding, but it also allows us to inspire the next generation of entertainment industry professionals.”, says Alex Andronache, industry veteran and Metalworks Institute instructor.
