Metalworks Alumni Recognized in Rolling Stone Feature with Noah “40” Shebib

Metalworks Institute alumnus Jad "OUPSiNG" El Khoury (Audio Production & Engineering 2021, Music Mixing & Mastering 2022), has been recognized in Rolling Stone MENA, appearing in a feature on OVO Sound producer Noah “40” Shebib. In the article, Shebib gives a nod to Jad’s talent and work ethic, recalling how he stood out early on for his technical skill and creative drive while working in Toronto’s SOTA studio. The article also highlights fellow OVO Sound engineer Noel Cadastre (Audio Production & Engineering 2006), a long-time collaborator of Shebib and Drake, who has been instrumental in shaping OVO’s signature sound.

Jad has built a growing reputation in the Toronto recording scene. After interning under Shebib, he went on to assist on major projects at OVO Sound, including Drake’s For All the Dogs, where he was credited as a Mixing Assistant. More recently, Jad was credited on the 2025 Alternative Album of the Year at the JUNO Awards, Verbathim by Nemahsis. Known for his precision and adaptability in the studio, Jad continues to contribute to the sound behind many of OVO’s new records.
