Cassidy Mann Champions Indigenous Music Development

Cassidy Mann (Professional Sound & Business 2020) has been announced as the new Indigenous Music Development Coordinator for Music Indigenous. With a background spanning over a decade in the music industry, Cassidy brings invaluable expertise and a passion for amplifying Indigenous voices in the music industry.

Cassidy's journey has seen her serve as a booking coordinator for Real Love Winnipeg and First Date Touring, where she orchestrated and managed shows while also facilitating international tours. Through these roles, Cassidy gained a deep understanding of the music industry.

Beyond her behind-the-scenes roles, Cassidy is also a seasoned musician in her own right. Her artistry has taken her on international tours and earned her two nominations for Indigenous Recording of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. Notably, her music has resonated widely, reaching #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown.In her new role, Cassidy will lead initiatives aimed at empowering Indigenous musicians, fostering collaborations, and amplifying Indigenous voices on the global stage. Her vision aligns with Music Indigenous' mission to celebrate, promote, and preserve Indigenous music and culture.
