In the three years since he graduated from Metalworks Institute’s Music Performance & Technology Program, Stefan Guy has become one of the more in-demand touring guitar players in Canadian country music. Over the past year, Stefan has played with up-and-coming artist Jason Benoit on several cross-country club and arena tours, including opening for Toby Keith on his Good Times and Pick Up Lines tour, Tim Hicks and Cold Creek County on their Get a Little Crazy tour, and David James and Chad Brownlee’s Hearts on Fire tour.
Stefan has also been out on the festival circuit with a number of different artists including Benoit, David James, The Small Town Pistols (CCMA Group of the Year), and more. In the past two years, Stefan has played at Boots and Hearts, the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Dauphin Country Fest, Sound of Music, Trackside in London, and Lucknow’s Music in the Fields. His personal highlights of 2016 include opening for Sam Hunt and Dierks Bentley on the main stage of Boots and Hearts (with Benoit), opening for Randy Houser and Chris Young at Trackside, and opening as direct support for Old Dominion and Kenny Chesney at Cavendish.
Stefan has been busy with radio and media appearances across the country with recording artist David James (Lonely Girl, What We Weren’t Looking For). To kick off 2017, Stefan will be heading across Canada with David James in support of headliner Chad Brownlee, starting January 17th.
