Alumni Update: Michael Hockley, Audio Production and Engineering

Michael Hockley graduated from Metalworks Institute’s Audio Production & Engineering Program in 2013. For the last six months, Michael has been working at Howl Studio in Oakville, Ontario as the Assistant Engineer. Through hard work and persistence, Michael had the opportunity to be in studio with members of Canadian rock band Three Days Grace, and met Multi-Juno Award winning and GRAMMY Nominated Canadian Producer Gavin Brown (Metric, Billy Talent, The Tragically Hip). Most recently Michael has been working at Howl Studio with Randy Bachman and his band. Recording and preparing for his show with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Along with his position at Howl, Michael works as a freelance audio engineer and produces his own music. He recently released an 8 song demo EP ‘Natural Sources’ which Michael engineered and produced. On Friday October 24^th, Michael will be performing at Velvet Underground in Toronto with Uforia and All Natural Flavours.
