Alumni Update: JUNO Nominations
The 43rd annual JUNO Award nominations were recently announced and we are pleased to congratulate our graduates who worked on nominated projects as well as Metalworks Studios Clients who have also been nominated for this year’s awards.
One of our graduates David Mohacsi (2008) holds credits on Headstones album Love and Fury nominated for Rock Album of the Year. Graduate Terence Lam (2010) holds credits on JRDN ft. Kardinal Offishall’s Can’t Choosenominated for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. Metalworks Studios client Drake holds four nominations including Artist of the Year, JUNO Fan Choice Award, Rap Recording of the Year, and Album of the Year for Nothing Was the Same. Graduate Noel Cadastre (2006) holds engineering credits on this album as well as Drake’s 2011 album Take Care and 2010 album Thank Me Later. Noel works alongside Noah “40” Shebib and is a significant member of the OVO team. Additionally, graduates Travis Sewchan (2010), Jeff Crake (2008), Greg Moffett (2010) and Les Schaeffer(2012) all hold various credits on Drake’s Juno nominated album for 2014.
Metalworks Studios client nominations this year also include; SonReal and Classified who have been nominated for Rap Recording of the year and Single of the year for Classified’s work with David Myles and Protest the Hero’s Violation is up for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.
