Alumni Update: Filip Hosek, Audio Production and Engineering

Filip Hosek graduated from Metalworks Institute’s Audio Production and Engineering Program in 2010. Following his graduation, Filip began his career at Kitchen Sync, a well-known post production facility in Toronto with a considerable list of clients in scripted and reality television
After two years at Kitchen Sync, Filip transitioned to a full-time position as a re-recording mixer at Deluxe’s Toronto location. With headquarters in Hollywood, Deluxe has more than 7,000 employees worldwide in offices from India and Australia, to Italy and the UK. Deluxe has provided post-production services for a wide array of major Hollywood feature films including, Spotlight, Crimson Peak, Pompeii, The Grey, and both the Saw and Resident Evil film franchises.
To date, Filip has received many credits for his work on a wide range of Canadian, American and UK films and television projects, including Lost Girl, Beauty & the Beast, The Expanse, Bitten, Nine Lives, Penny Dreadful, and Rogue to name just a few.
Filip recently completed mixing work on the upcoming feature Nine Lives, starring Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Garner as well as the soon-to-be released feature Ratchet & Clank, based on the popular video game. This summer, Filip is set to begin work on the feature mix for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which will be mixed in Deluxe Toronto’s world class Mix 1 Theatre, the largest Dolby Atmos mix stage east of Los Angeles.
