Metalworks Institute’s Audio Production and Engineering Program graduate David Mohacsi (2008) has been working alongside Multi-JUNO Award winning and GRAMMY-Nominated Canadian producer Gavin Brown (Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Barenaked Ladies). Recently they have been focused on the new and soon to be released album “Very Good Bad Thing” for Vancouver’s indie rock band Mother Mother (Universal).
The majority of the recording took place at Noble Street Studios in Toronto. This week David was flown out to Fader Mountain Sound in Vancouver where he engineered the recording sessions for the albums final track. Fader Mountain Sound is the home studio for Canadian producer Garth “GGGarth” Richardson, the son of Canadian producer Jack Richardson (Alice Cooper, Kim Mitchell, The Guess Who).
Mother Mother’s newest single, Get Out The Way is now available on iTunes and just this week the band released a music video prequel for the song on YouTube.
