Alumni Update: David Leon, Audio Production and Engineering
Graduated From: Audio Production & Engineering Diploma (2010)
David J. Leon graduated from the Audio Production & Engineering program in 2010. After graduation, David began interning with Cortez from Traumawest Recording House. As an intern, David learnt more about the business and technical side of working in a studio.
After working as an intern, David soon began finding his own clients and has now been working with Traumawest, now known as Traumawest Audio Management, for several years where he works on artist development, producing, recording and mixing for a long list of clients.
David has been building a name for himself in engineering and production throughout the Toronto Hip Hop community. Some of the artists he has worked with include: SH Brothaz, J. King, That Dude Lotus, City, Adriano Armani and songwriter, Zack Yassin. He also had the opportunity to work with veteran Hip Hop artists, Choclair, Code Blue and Dead Prez.
Currently, David is working with the talented EDM artist, Ossium (Femme Fatale), along with developing and producing an up-and-coming artist, J. King. He is also producing a full-length album for local Hip Hop artist, The SH Brothaz with Cortez. David is also working closely with Fred E. Fame of Legends of The Fame.
While his work at Traumawest Audio Management is keeping him busy, David is also working at Solitair Studio, owned by Canadian Hip Hop legend, Solitair and is also freelancing at Big Bang Studio.
All of the projects that David is currently working on will be released in early 2014.
