Alumni Update: Dan Lombardi, Audio Production and Engineering
Graduated From: Audio Production & Engineering Diploma (2013)
Dan “5PiECE” Lombardi is a producer, engineer and songwriter that graduated from Metalworks Institute’s Audio Production & Engineering Program in 2013. Upon graduating, Dan received the opportunity to intern for Grammy Award winning producer and engineer, Noah “40” Shebib (Drake, Alicia Keys, Beyonce). While working for OVO, he primarily assisted on sessions and helped with the setup of their private recording facility while also learning from one of the best producers in music today.
After his internship, Dan moved on to work as an engineer and oversee bookings at DNA Recording Facility in Vaughan. Changing gears, he learned how a private recording facility operates and was able to further expand his network, connecting with JD Era, Madchild of Swollen Members and Toronto producer Snaz (DMX, French Montana, Raekwon).
Recently Dan began working as an assistant engineer at Vespa Music Group primarily assisting on sessions for Juno Award winning engineer and producer, Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Cancer Bats, Monster Truck). Dan is currently focused on producing and engineering JD Era’s upcoming project as well as creating new music for major label placement with Snaz.
