Alumni Update: Cory Revesz, Professional Sound and Business – Studio Production Major

Cory Revesz graduated from the Professional Sound and Business – Studio Production Major Program in 2010. Cory is currently working with Toronto Sound, a company that provides services for everything from; location audio, noise reduction, editing, sound design, composition, music supervision, mixing, mastering and essentially all aspects of audio for film and video. Toronto Sound was started by Adam Clark, the head of location sound for the company and Cory’s production partner, close friend and former classmate; Aaron Gaistman.

With many exciting projects on the go, Cory recently did the sound design and mix for a Google Glass concept video which has reached over 650,000 views on YouTube. Check out the video below! In addition, Toronto Sound has also worked on the mix and sound design for WestJet Christmas, sound design and mix for Nike’s Defeat Winter and the composition, voiceover, sound design and mix for a web series and trailer; YEAR.

When asked about his new position with Toronto Sound Cory said “it’s pretty liberating being my own boss and doing the work that I love”. Their team is in the process of expansion, which will allow the team to bring on new post production contractors while the company continues to grow.
