Metalworks Institute is proud to spotlight Rawan Tuffaha, a graduate of our Music Performance program (2024), for her recent feature and live performance on CMCTV Talent, as a member of the internationally recognized ASD Band.
The ASD Band is a Toronto-based group of musicians on the autism spectrum who have captured national and international attention for their powerful storytelling and commitment to expanding representation in the music industry. The ASD Band’s journey has resonated widely: they competed on Season 3 of Canada’s Got Talent, delivered a standout appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and are the focus of their 2022 documentary OKAY! (The ASD Band Film), which showcases their rise, creativity, and advocacy for neurodiverse talent.
As a vocalist in the ASD Band, Rawan performed on CMCTV Talent as part of a special segment showcasing the group’s latest musical projects and their continued efforts to champion neurodiverse artists. Her performance in songs like "Fireflies" and "Good Vibes" reflected her expressive vocal ability, musicianship, and collaborative spirit on stage.
We congratulate Rawan on this exciting milestone and look forward to seeing what she and the ASD Band do next!
