The successful candidate will provide students with a broad introduction into health and safety law, policies, procedures and issues inherent in the live event industry including; Ministry of Labour regulations, risk assessment, crowd management, temporary staging, rigging regulations, working at heights, working with electricity, noise and hearing protection, heavy lifting and other important safety elements. Students will examine important case studies of past tragic incidents in the performance industry, and look at how such incidents can be avoided in the future.
