The City Radio Show with Gil Moore

Triumph Drummer and Metalworks Founder Gil Moore joined Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and Councilor Doug Ford to celebrate the first birthday of The City with Mayor Rob Ford Newstalk 1010 Radio Show. The weekly program airs Sunday afternoons from 1pm-3pm, discussing issues that impact the City of Toronto.

Mayor Ford attended many of Triumph’s over-the-top shows  at  Maple Leaf Gardens over the years. They discussed Universal’s upcoming Triumph documentary directed by Don Allan; Metalworks’ expansion into education and live events; and the economic impact of live music on the city. In commemoration of the show’s anniversary and the Fords’ enthusiasm for Triumph, Gil was happy to present Mayor Ford with a Double Platinum Triumph Rock ‘n Roll Machine album plaque. According to Gil, “Mayor Ford and Councilor Ford are  great supporters of the Toronto music cluster and their efforts supporting Music Canada’s initiatives highlight Toronto’s vibrant music industry; Rob is truly the Music Mayor.”
