Student News: Guest Lecture with Gregg Terrence – Indie Pool
On Wednesday May 22nd 2013, our students attended a guest lecture with Gregg Terrence, the president of Indie Pool. Gregg started the company in his Vancouver apartment when he was 25. Now in its 15th year, Indie Pool is Canada’s largest provider of independent music solutions. Over the years, Indie Pool has grown to work with over 20,000 Canadian independent recording artists and have administered over $5,000,000 of artists sales for Canadian bands.
Gregg spent the hour discussing his journey throughout the entertainment industry. His extremely motivational and eye opening lecture suggested students keep their career options open and that they look at a variety of possible career opportunities that really connect with their natural strengths. With ideas on how to recognize their own strengths and the notion of pleasant persistence, students were able to walk away with some great tips as they consider future career opportunities.
