Student News: Acoustic Cafe!

Our student-run Acoustic Café event held on Wednesday March 26th was a great success! This regular event provides local musicians with a great opportunity to get together and perform an acoustic set. Each performer is given about 15 minutes to showcase their original material.

Everything from set up to tear down including sound, lighting and stage set ups are all managed by the live students at our Institute! Audience members saw fantastic performances by graduates, students and local musicians.

Non perishable food donations were given to the Mississauga Food Bank and funds raised in the raffle were donated to Unison Benevolent Fund “a non-profit organization that provides counseling, emergency relief and benefit programs for those in the Canadian music community who face personal or professional challenges due to hardship, illness, unemployment or economic difficulties”. Exciting raffle prizes were provided from companies like Guitar World, Best Buy and On-A-Bun!
