Laurie Pallett Metalworks Institute Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The Laurie Pallett Metalworks Institute Scholarship has been established in honor of the Mississauga Arts Council’s Founding Executive Director. For decades Laurie Pallett has been a champion for the arts in Mississauga and her commitment to the arts continues to inspire those in the community. Through her leadership, the Mississauga Arts Council was a catalyst for founding many of the arts establishments within the community including the Meadowvale Theatre, the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Living Arts Centre.
The Laurie Pallett/Metalworks Institute Scholarship provides each recipient with a $5,000.00 tuition scholarship for any campus, online or hybrid delivery Program or Certificate Course bundle at Metalworks Institute of Sound & Music Production. The selected recipients will also receive a one year membership to the Mississauga Arts Council and will be required to complete 20 hours of volunteer work with the Mississauga Arts Council throughout the duration of their studies. Other education related costs, including the balance of tuition, textbooks, supplies, housing and any other fees associated with the program are not included.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Laurie Pallett Scholarship, an applicant must:
Citizenship Status
Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Eligibility Status
Have an OSSD with a grade point average of 70% or higher
Eligibility Status
Meet Metalworks Institute’s program eligibility requirements
