Metalworks Institute hosts MusicOntario Communities Connect Grants and Funding Panel

On Wednesday June 29th, Metalworks Institute played host to MusicOntario Communities Connect: The Ins and Outs of Grants and Funding, a panel discussion on music funding opportunities in the province of Ontario.

MusicOntario president Brian Hetherman moderated the discussion, which featured panelists Michelle Holtzkener (Ontario Media Development Corporation), Aurora Bangarth (FACTOR: The Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Recordings), Peter Katz (independent recording artist), and Kami van Halst (artist and grant writer).

The panel discussed the various funding opportunities available, provided tips and guidance for artists seeking to apply for funding, and answered questions from the MWI students in attendance.
