About Instructor Kwame Boison

Born in the United States and raised in Toronto, Canada – Kwame ‘Summer Knocks’ Boison has been influenced by many different cultures and genres.

His DJ journey began in 2010 while attending and completing University in Waterloo at Wilfrid Laurier University. Summer Knocks quickly progressed to playing the biggest corporate, club and concert venues in the Tri-City area of Kitchener – Waterloo – Cambridge.

After graduating university, Summer Knocks went on to gain event experiences in multiple genres of music through the Maple Leafs Sport Entertainment (Real Sports Brand DJ For The Toronto Raptors and Toronto FC) whilst being the Tour DJ for Canadian Artists– K. Forest, Skip Waiters, NAIIM.

His online mixes and event appearances garnered him enough rapport to allow him to work as a Touring DJ/ opening act for artists such as : Stone Boy, Burna Boy, Travis Scott, Desiigner, Lethal Bizzle, Tink , itch, Daniel Caesar & NAV over the past 9 years.

In 2020, Kwame joined the Paris based digital distribution company Believe Music as an Editorial & Marketing Partnerships Manager where he completes day to day tasks overseeing DSP placements & negotiation marketing activations for over 750 Canadian artists & labels.

He is currently a Business Partner for the Canadian Recording Artists: K. Forest, Skip Waiters & Shann Aberdeen whilst also supporting the Canadian Influencer/Creative: AlmostGuilty & his luxury self-care line: Internal Affairs.

‍Summer Knocks is currently the Official DJ for the Toronto Maple Leafs , with previous sports experience being the Official DJ of The Toronto Argonauts (2023) & The Toronto Pro-Am Basketball Summer League (2023).
