About Instructor Cam Wheler

Cam Wheler started his career in the live audio production industry after graduating from a Theatre Arts-Technical Production course in 1993. Throughout his career, Cam has successfully embraced the ever-evolving technologies in the live production industry including PA systems design, implementation and measurement, and the digitization of the audio signal chain from microphone to speaker.

In addition to working with various other companies on a freelance basis, Cam has been part of the “family” since his time at Bandworld and subsequently Metalworks Production Group where he remains a senior technician. Over that twenty year span, he has worked countless festivals, theatrical productions, corporate and political events and beyond. He has toured with the likes of Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Philosopher Kings, Legends Alive, Bachman Turner Overdrive, and many others. He has also served as the house sound technician at Toronto concert venues Koolhaus and The Danforth Music Hall.

While balancing his responsibilities with Metalworks Institute and Metalworks Production Group, Cam is currently the monitor engineer for the Grammy nominated band Glass Tiger.
