Dave Patel: Featured Clinician

As a professional drummer, Dave Patel has played on over seventy albums and various jingles, in addition to some television work. Dave has been teaching privately for over twenty-two years at some of the most reputable retail/educational stores in Toronto such as Soul Drums, Drummer’s Choice, Just Drums and Kaos Music Center. He has studied at both York University and Humber College, and has had private study with Vito Rezza, Jim Blackley, and Paul DeLong.

Dave has toured with many award-winning artists such as Kellylee Evans, Shakura S’Aida, Ian Crichton (Saga), JukeJoint, One and Funkasaurus. He has also recorded and performed with Liberty Silver, Nick Blagona (Alexisonfire, Protest the Hero) and Sass Jordan. He is a faculty member for the Music Performance & Technology program here at our Institute.

On Saturday, September 22nd, Dave Patel is offering a FREE drum clinic for the first annual MWI International Drum Festival. Catch Dave’s “Odd Stuff” clinic on September 22nd at 3:30pm in the South Auditorium.
