Canada's Walk of Fame This year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame award celebrations are taking place in Toronto from September 20th to 23rd. For three days, performances will be held at Nathan Phillips Square for the Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival. Performers include Sarah McLachlan, K’Naan, Jann Arden, Melanie Fiona, Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, Lindi Ortega, Suzie McNeil and The Heartbroken. “This year’s free Festival programming promises to be an exciting line-up of Canadian talent,” said Peter Soumalias, Canada’s Walk of Fame’s Founding Director.

This year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame inductees include music legends Randy Bachman and Sarah McLachlan, as well as Phil Hartman, Russ Jackson, Sonia Rodriguez and Team Canada 1972. Juno & Grammy Award-winning R&B Artist Melanie Fiona is also receiving the 2012 Allan Slaight Award, which recognizes the achievements of young Canadians who have the ability to turn their talent into inspiration. The award ceremony will air on Global and Slice Network on October 14th at 8:00pm.
