Noel Cadastre visits Metalworks Institute: Inspiring the Future

Metalworks Institute was thrilled to welcome back diamond-certified recording engineer, Noel Cadastre (Audio Production & Engineering 2006), for the first guest lecture of the fall term. Noel has made a significant impact in the music industry since graduating, becoming a prominent figure at OVO Sound and working as Drake’s exclusive audio engineer. His journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring audio engineers, and his guest lecture was as informative as it was exciting.
During his visit, Noel engaged with students in a live Q&A session, sharing insights about his career and the importance of persistence and personality in a competitive field like music. He recounted his experiences working alongside industry giants and highlighted the transformative power of education in shaping his skills and confidence. Noel emphasized the value of networking and staying true to one's artistic vision, encouraging students to be prepared for when opportunity comes their way. "If you want a big reward, you’ve got to take some big risks" he advised. As he shared stories from the studio and the road, his visit left students feeling motivated and inspired about their own futures in the music industry, reinforcing Metalworks Institute’s commitment to supporting the next generation of industry leaders.
