how does co-op work?

- Enroll in Audio Production & Engineering (Co-op). Application and Acceptance required
- Attend COOP1100 to learn about the services and supports available for co-op students at Metalworks
- Co-op positions are typically paid (hourly or stipend) and a minimum number of hours
- You and your employer may take part in a check-in session to discuss your experience and address any questions during your Co-op
- During your Co-op work term, you'll apply classroom learning in a real-world setting, gaining a deeper understanding of your skills and making your experience more impactful
- Search for jobs through the exclusive MWIEducation Co-op Portal and apply for positions that match your career and/or education goals
- Interviews are conducted on-site at Metalworks or the employer’s place of business, virtually or over the phone
- At the end of your Co-op work term, you will: add to your portfolio; and submit an employer evaluation including a confirmation of hours worked
