Alumni Update: Kayley Szanto, Entertainment Business Management

Kayley Szanto graduated from the Entertainment Business Management Program in 2011. After completing the program, throughout 2012 and 2013, Kayley worked as the Registration Manager/ Office Coordinator for Canadian Music Week, one of the premier music industry events in North America.

Last year Kayley began working with CP Music Group and is currently the Personal Assistant to Mia Martina.“CP Music Group is a collaborative music label and management team for a roster of artists, songwriters and producers. Artists include Belly, Massari, Mia Martina, Danny Fernandes, Tyler Medeiros, and producers DaHeala (Hunger Games, The Weeknd, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg) and DannyBoyStyles (Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, Flo Rida, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana).”

Working with CP Music Group, Kayley’s responsibilities are vast, a typical day can include focusing on the organization of a photo-shoot, sending out itineraries for an upcoming show, and following up on grant applications and producer and writer credits for songs. She works closely with Mia Martina, from arranging and working with stylists, to studio and flight bookings, to marketing and promotions. Kayley has taken on her role with CP Music Group as a new lifestyle. She does not clock in or out and knows she needs to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Kayley says she loves her position, that it is always exciting and gives her a constant 360 degree view of the industry.
