Jorge graduated from the Audio Production & Engineering program in 2012. Right after graduation, he began an internship at Howl Studio. Jorge then had the opportunity to work in several roles in the entertainment industry from musician, DJ, producer and now entrepreneur with his company, 586 Event Group.
As a musician, Jorge has performed on Breakfast Television, the Waterloo Jazz Festival, at the Hershey Centre and many gospel concerts. His DJ experience has led him to work with the City of Guelph, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Credit Valley Golf Course, Whistle Bear, University of Guelph and numerous private clients.
Currently Jorge is focusing on the work he is doing at his company, 586 Event Group, a fully insured DJ, musician, producer and engineer service with a client base consisting of upscale golf courses and venues, specializing in weddings. 586 Event Group has an office in Cambridge but provides full-range services throughout the GTA. Through his company, Jorge has DJ’ed and announced for the Ontario Varsity Football League, the Tri City Predators (CJFL), Wilfred Laurier University and stadiums across Ontario, including the Rogers Centre.
In addition to his work at 586 Event Group, Jorge works on various post production and music projects for online corporate clients and he is the music director for his church band, La Paz De Cristo. Jorge is also part of Just Ideas, a production team of engineers, producers and musicians. Jorge has also worked on projects with fellow graduate, Alvaro Toscano. Through Just Ideas, Jorge has worked with Craig Smart and co-produced “DJ Gonna Save Us” a dubstep remix for Karl Wolf.
