About this Advanced Diploma Program
The Professional Sound & Business (Studio Production Major) Advanced Diploma Program is designed for students interested in understanding the recording, music and entertainment industries from a business, technical and creative standpoint. With in-depth studies encompassing all aspects of recording production, engineering and entertainment business management, the courses in this dynamic program strike a balance between a technical and business education. The program provides students with a well-rounded perspective, allowing for expanded career pathways into the music, film and broadcast industries, as well as related areas in the entertainment business sector.
Graduates of Metalworks Institute's Professional Sound & Business (Studio Production Major) Advanced Diploma Program are eligible for a Degree Pathway into Yorkville University's Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree.
Graduates of Metalworks Institute's Professional Sound & Business (Studio Production Major) Advanced Diploma Program are eligible to apply to Metalworks Institute's Post-Graduate Music Mixing & Mastering Program.

Degree Pathways
Metalworks Institute has partnered with Yorkville University to offer Degree Pathways.
Students who successfully complete the Professional Sound & Business (Studio Production Major) Degree Pathway will graduate with an Advanced Diploma from Metalworks Institute and a Bachelor of Creative Arts Degree from Yorkville University. Upon completion of the Degree Pathway, international students will be eligible to apply for a post-graduate work permit.
