Alumni Update: David Mohacsi, Audio Production and Engineering Program
Graduated From: Audio Production & Engineering Diploma (2008)
Metalworks Institute’s Audio Production and Engineering Program (APE) graduate David Mohacsi completed the program in 2008 and has since been working alongside Multi-JUNO Award winning and GRAMMY – Nominated Producer Gavin Brown and veteran studio engineer Lenny DeRose (Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Celine Dion).
This week Gavin, Lenny and David will be working with a newly formed LA band North of Nine, a rock band fronted by Jackson Guthy, as they prepare the band’s debut EP. The band, managed by singer, record producer and television personality Randy Jackson, was recently said to be the Rising Stars of 2015 by LA Music Blog.
Flown out to LA for the project, David will be working out of studio D at Henson Recording Studio, the former home of A&M Records which was purchased by The Jim Henson Company in 2000 and founded in 1917 by Charlie Chaplin. David will be working on the sessions as the Pro Tools Engineer while also assisting with additional engineering and programming.
